Galaxy Bakery and Coffee House is all you’d expect to see in a charming village square: a genuine family bakery. Galaxy, owned by husband and wife pair Ike and Jen Thorpe, is a family dream come true. When you go in the door, you might see Jen’s father greeting you from behind the counter, or you might see Ike’s father cleaning dishes in the back. Ike and Jen are parents to three kids and have a large extended family. They also treat their clients like family, and Galaxy Bakery wants to be there for you as you pursue your own dreams.
One thing you can count on at Galaxy Bakery and Coffee House is consistently high quality. That is something Ike and Jen take pride in. They only want to provide the best for their family! All jams and icings are created from scratch and never come from a jar. Galaxy never uses shortening and always uses real butter. Wholesome Farms in Walburg is where we get our eggs. Spicewood, Texas is where the Cuvee coffee is roasted.
Galaxy is known for its delectable cupcakes, but they also have muffins, quiches, cheesecakes, croissants, scones, and cookies on the menu. With the exception of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, lemon, red velvet, and Hostess, the cupcake selection changes every two weeks. With friends and family, Ike’s bread is legendary. It’s a true handmade sourdough bread that’s naturally leavened and baked without the use of dough conditioners.
