The weekend kicked off on Friday, where the Ladies put on a pitching clinic and won the series opener 6-0. Senior pitcher Anna Scarbrock from Alexandria, Louisiana, was nothing short of phenomenal, tossing a complete-game shutout that saw her face 27 batters while allowing only six hits. Notably, she struck out three Pirates without giving up a single walk, solidifying her status as one of the conference’s top performers. Such a dominant display gave Centenary the perfect momentum heading into the weekend’s doubleheader.
Saturday was a thrilling day for Centenary as they faced the Pirates in a doubleheader. Game one ended with a solid 5-1 victory.
