Developers Break Ground on Chuy’s in Hutto

Known Texan restaurant chain, Chuy’s, has officially begun construction on a brand new location in Hutto, Texas. The beloved eatery is set to open its doors in the burgeoning Townwest Commons development center—an announcement made recently by NewQuest Properties. The latest restaurant in Chuy’s chain promises to be a great addition to the growth and development Hutto has been experiencing in recent years.

Turning the First Sod

As revealed on the first day of July, the new Chuy’s location began construction, marking a new era for the Townwest Commons development center in Hutto. This upcoming Mexican restaurant is expected to offer a vast menu that includes an array of authentic Mexican cuisine such as tacos, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas to name a few. The new Chuy’s, which is sprawled over 5,400 square feet, is projected to start serving by early 2025.

Additional Expansion

In light of the new Chuy’s construction, NewQuest Properties also announced plans to construct an additional 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space within the 35-acre property, for which pre-leasing has now started. These plans come on the back of the recent unveiling of Academy Sports + Outdoors and EVO Entertainment whose ground-breaking took place back on June 21.

Josh Friedlander, the leasing director and development partners, said, “There’s been strong interest in our future space. The area really is ready for more full-service and fast-casual restaurants.”

A Glimpse at History

The brand Chuy’s started its journey back in 1982 from an old barbecue restaurant in Austin. From these humble beginnings, Chuy’s expanded and grew into a restaurant chain that boasts of more than 100 outlets across 16 states. Apart from the upcoming Hutto establishment, Chuy’s restaurants can be spotted in Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park.

What to Expect?

Chuy’s in Hutto is located at 250 Alliance Blvd. Once doors open in 2025, customers can expect to indulge in the same delicious assortment of Mexican dishes that Chuy’s is known for. Patrons will also be able to experience the rich cultural atmosphere that comes with dining at Chuy’s, adding to the charm of Hutto’s vibrant culinary scene.

As of now, developers are eagerly waiting to unveil Chuy’s to the Hutto community and promise to offer a dining experience that will match, if not surpass, the standards that customers have come to expect from the celebrated brand.
