If you’re a Georgetown resident wondering what to do with your unflocked Christmas tree, look no further. Your city is stepping up to help you dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.

From December 26 through January 31, residents can take advantage of a free recycling program offered by Texas Disposal Systems (TDS). It’s easy! Simply drop off your unflocked Christmas trees and other organic holiday decorations at designated locations around the city. What Can You Drop Off?

Wondering what’s on the acceptance list? TDS is happy to accept:

  • Unflocked Christmas trees
  • Holly
  • Pumpkins
  • Other living holiday decorations

If your items are natural and organic, they’re most likely good to go! However, do keep in mind that artificial or fake trees cannot be recycled through this initiative.

Main Drop-off Location

The main drop-off point is at TDS & Garden-Ville Georgetown, located at 250 W.L. Walden Dr. This is the place where you can bring your organic decorations for recycling during their operating hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

In addition to the main site, there are five more drop-off locations scattered across the Central Texas region, making it convenient for everyone!
