Georgetown Gears Up for Small Business Saturday Celebration on November 30

Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Georgetown!

Hey Georgetown! Get ready to put on those shopping shoes because this year’s Small Business Saturday is just around the corner! On November 30, we invite everyone to join in and give our local businesses a big boost. This annual event is a wonderful chance to support our fantastic community of small businesses and put smiles on shop owners’ faces.

Start the Day Right at the Art Center

The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. at the Georgetown Art Center, located at 816 S. Main St.. Make sure you arrive early because the first 600 shoppers will snag a free canvas tote bag designed just for this occasion. What a great way to show off your community spirit while browsing through all the lovely shops!

Fun Tasting Adventures Await

And here’s something exciting for coffee lovers and sweet tooth aficionados — for the second year running, the Georgetown Main Street Program is rolling out the Coffee & Cocoa Crawl from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Enjoy wandering around our charming downtown and indulge in tastings from various coffee shops, cafes, and sweet shops. It’s a delightful way to warm up on a cool winter day!

Tickets for this flavorful journey are only $20 and come with a keepsake mug, a delicious cookie, and samples from 10 participating locations. Just a reminder, only 550 tickets will be available, so grab yours soon!

Don’t Miss Out on the Special Ornaments!

As you stroll through the lovely shops, keep an eye out for this year’s special edition Main Street ornament, which will be available for $25 starting in mid-November at the Georgetown Visitors Center, located at 103 W. Seventh St. This beautiful ornament features a stunning streetscape of Eighth Street. Proceeds from ornament sales will support the Façade & Sign Grant Program, so you can feel good about your purchase!

Co-Sponsors Making It Happen

This joyful event is made possible thanks to the collaboration of local organizations. The Georgetown Main Street Program, Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Georgetown Association are all coming together to make sure this day is filled with fun, community engagement, and of course, shopping!

Why Shop Small? Support Your Community!

It’s important to remember why we have such a day dedicated to small businesses. By choosing to shop small, you’re not just buying a product; you’re investing in your community. Small businesses play a vital role in our city’s charm, offering unique products and personalized services that you just won’t find in the big box stores. Plus, when you shop local, you’re helping to create jobs and boost the local economy.

Join the Celebration!

So, Georgetown, let’s come together to celebrate our small businesses on Small Business Saturday. Spread the word, invite your friends and family, and make it a day to remember. Enjoy the shopping, the cozy cafes, and the sense of community that makes Georgetown such a wonderful place to live. We can’t wait to see you all out there!
