Hey there, Georgetown! Big changes are on the way for this charming city just a hop, skip, and a jump from Austin. If you’re a fan of juicy burgers or grocery shopping, you’re in for some exciting news! Whataburger, the iconic Texas burger chain known for its delicious Double Meat Whataburger Meal, is opening a new location right next to a brand-spanking-new H-E-B grocery store.
That’s right! Both the new Whataburger and H-E-B will be finding their home together at 10110 RM 2338.
As per reports from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Whataburger is investing a cool $2.6 million into its 3,305-square-foot restaurant. This location will be part of the up-and-coming Parmer Ranch Marketplace in Georgetown, promising to be a one-stop shop for all your cravings and needs!
Both businesses are set to be completed by May 2025, just in time for summer fun. As you soak up the sun with your favorite Whataburger meal, you’ll also have the convenience of H-E-B’s brand-new 110,000-square-foot store, currently underway with a hefty price tag of $30 million! This store will boast a $2 million fuel station and a car wash, making it the go-to place for not just groceries but also for keeping your car looking fresh.
The Parmer Ranch Marketplace isn’t just about H-E-B and Whataburger, though. According to Milo Burdette, the vice president of development for Barshop & Oles (the company managing the marketplace), the complex is set to also feature two multi-tenant buildings and five pad sites, creating the possibility of up to 25 new businesses in the area. More options mean more fun shopping experiences!
For those who are curious, H-E-B clarified that this new Georgetown location won’t include a Whataburger inside, unlike their Hutto store which has a Fresh Bites gas station and a Whataburger attached. But let’s be honest, having two of the best places to grab a bite within walking distance is still a major win!
The opening of these new establishments is along with Georgetown’s rapid growth, making it an attractive place for families and businesses alike. It’s incredible to see not just major chains stepping into the city but also the opportunity for new local businesses to pop up in the community. As you grab your next Whataburger meal or pick up your groceries at H-E-B, you’ll be contributing to the blossoming local economy.
In case you need a reminder, circle May 2025 on your calendars. That’s when it’s showtime! This new development is sure to bring plenty of excitement and convenience to both residents and visitors in Georgetown.
The future is looking bright for Georgetown as it combines beloved Texas traditions with everyday conveniences. So, get ready to enjoy the double meat goodness at Whataburger and stock up your pantry at H-E-B!
Until next time, grab a burger and enjoy all the delightful flavors Georgetown has to offer!
