Round Rock H-E-B Set for $14 Million Remodel Starting February 2025

Round Rock’s H-E-B Gets Ready for a Major Makeover!

Hey there, Round Rock! We have some exciting news brewing in our community, straight from the bustling aisles of our local H-E-B on Louis Henna Boulevard. It looks like our beloved grocery store is gearing up for a big transformation that will not only elevate the shopping experience but also strengthen H-E-B’s footprint in our ever-growing area.

What’s the Scoop?

According to recent filings, the Round Rock H-E-B (which is affectionately known as store #495) is set to kick off a nearly $14 million remodel on February 3, 2025. So, mark your calendars, folks! This investment isn’t just about sprucing things up; it’s part of H-E-B’s larger strategy to remodel multiple stores in the Austin area.

H-E-B, the San Antonio-based grocery store chain that many of us know and love, is making big moves with millions being poured into new builds and makeovers in Central Texas. This remodeling spree comes as H-E-B aims to enhance its presence in our rapidly growing region, making sure we have the best of the best available to us.

What Changes Can We Expect?

Now, let’s get into some juicy details about the remodel itself. This isn’t just a simple facelift! The renovations will include an exterior demolition and a complete redesign of the main entrance, giving the store a fresh new look to greet shoppers. But that’s not all—inside the store, we can anticipate updates in several crucial areas.

For starters, the restrooms and pharmacy will get a much-needed interior makeover, and the overall floor area will also see some changes for improved accessibility and flow. And if you like to enjoy the chilled sections of the store, you’re in luck! The cooler cases, walk-in coolers, and freezers in the main grocery area and the nearby curbside pickup spot will all be replaced. Talk about an upgrade!

A Rich History in Round Rock

Did you know that this store has been a staple in our community since its grand opening back in May 2001? That’s right! At that time, it was H-E-B’s third location in Round Rock, and today, we’ve grown to have five—yes, five—H-E-B stores in our vibrant city, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump (about 20 miles) north of Austin.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! H-E-B is also expanding its reach in nearby Georgetown, where another store is being remodeled, and they’re breaking ground on yet another location in the same city that will be ready for us by summer 2025. It’s safe to say that H-E-B is committed to keeping us stocked and happy.

What Comes Next?

Once the dust settles after the remodeling, the whole project for the Round Rock store is expected to wrap up by November 3, 2025. So, there’s still some time before we can stroll through the redesigned aisles, but trust me—it’s going to be worth the wait!

As a community, we should be excited about these enhancements. Not only will it create a better shopping experience, but it also signifies the growth of Round Rock and the commitment from H-E-B to meet the needs of our ever-expanding population. So, keep your eyes peeled for updates, and let’s all look forward to a fabulous new chapter for our local H-E-B!

Cheers to the future, Round Rock!
