Earlier this fall, The Liberty Hill Independent hosted an informational panel session on October 16, diving deep into the ballot measures that are set to appear in the 2024 elections. If you’re eager to cast your vote and get involved in the electoral process, you’ll be happy to know that early voting will take place from October 21 to November 1. For your convenience, early voting hours are set from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until October 26, with a slight change on the following Sunday, when voting will be from noon to 6 p.m.. Make note that the early voting location in Liberty Hill will be the Liberty Hill ISD Gym Annex situated at 301 Forrest St.. This makes it even easier for you to get out there and have your say!
On Election Day, which falls on November 5, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Don’t forget, Williamson County residents can vote at any polling location in the county, as part of the Countywide Polling Place Program. Look for the “Vote Here/Aqui” signs to find your nearest location!
Before you head out to vote, remember that Texas requires voters to present an approved form of identification. This could be a driver’s license, a military ID, or other acceptable forms. Make sure you have the right ID, so you won’t run into any trouble at the polling stations.
In other local news, property tax statements are rolling out to homeowners in Williamson County beginning the week of October 21. Homeowners from Liberty Hill ISD and Coupland ISD will see a slight delay in receiving their bills, as they will be sent out only after the November 5 tax rate election results are in. Just a heads-up: property taxes are due upon receipt, and if you let them slip, they become delinquent on February 1, 2025.
