It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Regan Shelby Dansen, a shining light in our community and a beloved member of the East View High School family. Regan, who was only 20 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 4, 2025. This tragic loss has left her family, friends, and everyone who knew her in deep sorrow.
Born on October 4, 2004, in Austin, Texas, Regan was the cherished youngest daughter of Bobbi and George Dansen. Growing up alongside her two older sisters, Stephanie and Kaitlyn, Regan developed a warm and vibrant personality that brought happiness to those around her. She had a zest for life that was contagious, lighting up every room she entered.
Regan is remembered fondly by her family. She shared a remarkably close bond with her mother, Bobbi, and they communicated daily through calls and texts, sharing everything from laughs to life lessons. As a family-oriented individual, Regan hoped to create countless memories that would last a lifetime.
Regan’s passion for dance was evident throughout her life. She excelled in various dance styles, captivating audiences during her performances. Her determination shone through especially when she faced adversity after a serious car accident. Regan displayed remarkable resilience during her long rehabilitation process, overcoming challenges with unmatched courage.
Regan was also a proud graduate of East View High School in Georgetown, Texas, class of 2023. She continued her educational journey at Texas State University, following in the footsteps of her sister Kaitlyn. Her love for learning and her pursuit of knowledge left a lasting impression on her teachers and classmates.
Animals held a special place in Regan’s heart. She adored her pet cat, Anna, who provided her with comfort and companionship. Regan’s caring nature extended beyond animals to her extended family and friends, all of whom cherished her presence in their lives.
Regan was fortunate to be surrounded by a loving family, including her mother Bobbi (and Jason Nixon), father George (and Demetria), sisters Stephanie (and Ricky) and Kaitlyn (and Jonathan), along with her precious nieces, Emma and Zoey. She was also a beloved granddaughter, and her passing is deeply felt by her entire family.
In honor of Regan’s memory, a gathering for family and friends will be held at The Crossover in Cedar Park, Texas, on March 11. An open visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a heartfelt tribute dance at 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted afterward, with dinner served to those who wish to gather and reminisce about the beautiful moments shared with Regan.
A graveside service will occur on March 12 at Our Lady of The Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas, starting at 10:00 AM. Everyone who knew Regan is warmly welcome to attend and pay their respects.
During this incredibly challenging time, the family has requested prayers and support from the community. Instead of sending flowers, memorial contributions in Regan’s name can be made to help support her lasting legacy.
Regan Shelby Dansen may have departed from this world, but her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to others will forever be remembered. Let us come together as a community to celebrate her life and honor the incredible impact she made on all of us.
