Sponsor Our ArticlesThe Texas Rangers have announced the launch of the Rangers Sports Network (RSN), set to provide accessible game broadcasts to 16.5 million households. This initiative aims to enhance viewing experiences, allowing fans in Texas and nearby states to enjoy games without previous complications. With partnerships with major providers and a dedicated streaming app, the Rangers are ready to revolutionize baseball viewing. Fans can also look forward to a talented team of broadcasters and comprehensive coverage of spring training and regular season games.
Hey there, baseball lovers in Texas! Get ready to celebrate because there’s some thrilling news on the horizon for all you Texas Rangers supporters! The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here—on January 27, 2025, the Rangers unveiled their brand new Rangers Sports Network (RSN). This groundbreaking move is designed to make enjoying games so much easier for fans across the Lone Star State and neighboring areas!
So, what’s the deal with RSN? Well, if you live in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, or parts of New Mexico, you’re in luck! The Texas Rangers are setting their sights on reaching an astounding 16.5 million households with this fresh broadcasting approach. That’s a massive jump from the previous 1.6 million households they connected with when partnering with Bally Sports Southwest. You see, Bally faced its fair share of challenges after its parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in March 2023, leaving fans searching for better options.
Things changed in October 2024 when Major League Baseball announced that the Rangers would be moving on from Diamond or Bally Sports for the upcoming season. This created the perfect opportunity for the Rangers to step up and seize control of their own broadcasting destiny, leading to the launch of the Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company, the mastermind behind RSN.
The Rangers are all about keeping it accessible for fans! They’ve struck up partnerships with major providers like DirecTV, AT&T’s U-verse, and Charter’s Spectrum. But wait, it gets even better! Thanks to collaborations with Nexstar Media Group and Gray Media, there will also be free over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts. Make sure to mark March 28, 2025, on your calendars because that’s when the Rangers will kick things off against the Boston Red Sox in their first OTA broadcast!
For all you on-the-go fans out there, RSN will be available through the Dallas Stars’ Victory+ streaming app too! A season pass will cost an easy-on-the-wallet $100, meaning you can catch every thrilling game, no matter where you are!
And here’s a cherry on top—RSN will feature an impressive lineup of broadcasters for the 2025 season! Expect to hear the lively play-by-play from Dave Raymond, alongside analysis from the talented Mike Bacsik and David Murphy. Plus, field reporters Laura Stickells and Emily Jones are set to keep everyone in the loop, while Jared Sandler takes the stage to host pregame and postgame shows. And let’s not forget the valuable insights from former player Elvis Andrus as he joins as an analyst!
Are you ready for an action-packed season? Because the Rangers are committed to broadcasting all spring training games too! You can catch them on flagship radio station 105.3 The Fan or enjoy a live webcast. Looking ahead to the regular season, you can expect to see 15 primetime Friday night home games featured on the OTA network, ensuring everyone gets plenty of chances to cheer!
As Opening Day approaches on March 27, 2025, when the Rangers take on the Boston Red Sox, it’s safe to say that the future of watching Rangers baseball is brighter than ever. With so many ways to tune into the action, baseball fans can finally kick back and enjoy Texas baseball without the previous headaches. So, get your jerseys, power up your devices, and get ready to cheer on the Rangers like never before!
